No Download Required: Practice Romanian Dictation in Your Browser

Until now, getting started meant downloading a desktop app — a real barrier for anyone who just wanted to try it before committing to an install. That's gone now. SiteDictation runs entirely in the browser at sitedictation.com/play.

What's there

200 Romanian sentences from Common Voice, the same dictation-and-diff practice loop as the desktop app: listen, type what you heard, see exactly where you diverged from the native speaker. It works on phones — tap to play, type on the on-screen keyboard, no app store, no install.

Why a web version

Three reasons, in order of how much they mattered:

Friction. A download is a commitment most visitors won't make on a first visit. A URL is not.
Platform reach. One codebase now covers anything with a browser — including phones, which the desktop app never touched.
iOS. The browser version is also what powers the iOS app shell, currently in App Store review.

The desktop apps aren't going anywhere — they still work fully offline, which matters if you practice without a reliable connection. The web version is additive, not a replacement.
